Many of today’s dental offices have become so frustrated with insurance that they won’t provide service to patients in some cases. Patients are then left to navigate a confusing insurance bureaucracy alone. Patients are often justified in wondering why their insurance doesn’t cover all of their dental needs. This is a universal concern that patients and the dental profession must face together.
Most insurance maximums have not increased in decades, and the “usual and customary” rates for procedures are frequently negotiated between a patient’s employer and the insurance company. Your dental plan is a form of compensation provided by your employer. You can expect the carrier (insurance company) to reimburse you for a portion of our fee. That portion is determined by the contract between your employer and the insurance company. The higher the premium paid by your company, the more generous the reimbursement.
Although we are not a party to the contractual arrangement with your insurance company, we do accept insurance and want to help you receive the maximum reimbursement to which you are entitled. As a convenience to you we will help you process your insurance claims in order for you to receive this maximum benefit. We will investigate, process, and follow up on your insurance benefits so you can minimize your out-of-pocket expenses. Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by this office regardless of your insurance coverage.
Please understand that we will not guide your treatment based on insurance coverage. Our goal is to give you the best quality on every level, including the cleanliness of the office, the highly trained professional team, the state-of-the-art materials and equipment we use, and the care and respect we give you in not rushing procedures that could affect treatment longevity. So, although we don’t cut corners to fit into some “dental plan” formulas, we will make every effort to keep treatment as affordable as possible. At all times, you can be confident that we will always provide you with our best services without regard to the limitations imposed by your insurance coverage. To do otherwise would violate our contract with you — a contract we feel morally obliged to honor.
For your convenience we accept Major credit cards ATM and have financing plans available, including care credit. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients. Frequently we will pre-authorize your treatment so there are no surprises around what your insurance is going to pay. Payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at 925-938-6000.
